Established since 2018 by Jordan Cribb, Vertex Architecture has grown into an established presence along the North Norfolk coast and further afield, providing architectural design and consultancy services. Vertex’s capacity as a company has dramatically increased since 2018, with the team growing alongside the increase in projects, clients and demand for its services. Whilst Vertex Architecture has grown, the same service, efficiency and passion continues to be applied to each and every project.
Project: Old Crabbe Hall
Old Crabbe Hall sits in the heart of Burnham Market – but you would never know it. Nestled behind a row of period terraced houses lies this third of an acre site boasting a 17th century, 4600 square foot, 7-bedroom, Grade II Listed Building.
Prior to Vertex’s appointment, the property consisted of a disjointed two storey house, with an underutilised loft space, and a detached dilapidated barn located to the Southeast of the main house.
It was clear from our initial visit that the sites existing features needed to be better utilised. Being a Listed building, our opportunities for extensions and significant alterations were limited. However, we worked closely with the conservation team and was able to gain consent for a significant amount of work including converting the loft space into an amazing master bedroom suite, converting the barn to provide 3 additional bedrooms, linking the two with a modern, flat roof extension creating a cohesive ground floor layout. Rooms have also been rearranged, repurposed, and re-located to further improve the property. It’s a truly remarkable property in a unique setting.
